About Joanne

Joanne was born in Kent in 1968. She spent 23 years as a qualified nurse before following her passion and studying a part-time fine art degree at Canterbury UCA. Nursing and art have often run parallel to each other. Joanne now works in her Sutton Valance studio and is often, but not always, making work relating to the human condition and health. She has exhibited in London, being selected for several open competitions including; Threadneedle 2012, Shape Open 2015, Royal British Society of Artists 2017 & Royal Society of Marine Artists 2019.

Since lockdown Joanne has run small classes and workshops from her studio
